This study investigates the link between productivity and worker mobility. using comprehensive matched employee-employment data set from Dutch manufacturing, I find firms that hired new workers with multinational experience productivity gain one year after hiring. Moreover, I show that positive effect of hiring from foreign firms is coincide with the level of education and skill of newly hired employees. I also find that the negative link between the reduction in productivity and unskilled workers moving within domestic firms. Additionally, my analysis revealed positive association between hiring from more productive firms and productivity gain. Furthermore, I find hiring within the same sector diffuse more knowledge and skill than what can be brought by workers from other sectors.
