The Directorate General of Justice is the administrative center of the Autonomous Administration responsible for the development of transferred powers in the area of Justice through cooperation with the Judiciary, the Ministry of Justice and other institutions related to the judicial area in order to address the needs of the Justice in Galicia. That envolves cordinating the provision to the courts and tribunals of the material and personal means necessary to achieve an agile and quality justice, open to the public.
This organization also takes part in the appointment of notaries and registrars in Galicia and it promotes the civil law of our community, as well as the Galician language in the judicial field, promoting the necessary conditions to guarantee the citizens' access to justice in conditions of equal opportunities within the scope of a modern administration proper to the 21st century.
