The Institute of Territory Studies exercises the following functions, without prejudice to those that correspond to the urbanistic organs of Galicia:
A) Perform research, analysis, study and dissemination work on urbanism, land management, in particular.
B) Providing assistance and advice to the municipalities of Galicia, for the preparation of urban planning and management and execution of planning, in the following areas.
C) Providing support to Counseling competent in matters of urban planning and land management, in the following areas.
D) Collecting and processing the information of the Galician territory, as well as the cartographic production for the different councils and public organisms of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, especially in agrarian and rural development, including, in particular.
