The Foundation for Fire Ecology and Fire Management Pau Costa Alcubierre (FPC) was born in january 2011, after more than a year of gestation and with the ambition to be an information platform in forest fire management, at the same time as an instrument of diffusion and research in the ecology of the fire. Streamlining communication between the community of forest fires, the need for exchanges between different agencies at different levels to improve forest fire management and the capitalization of accumulated experience, are some of the needs among study the ecology and fire management. To meet these needs in the context of forest fires, Spanish and other countries experts, have recommended the creation of a common platform, which is now a reality: the Fire Management and Fire Ecology Foundation, Pau Costa Alcubierre.
