The Chamber of Agriculture of the Pyrenees Atlantiques is a public institution run by elected members. They represent all the stakeholders of agriculture and the rural world: farmers, employees, owners, foresters, financial and social organizations, trade unions. It is an advisory, representative and professional body of agricultural interests. The main objectives of this institution: to be interlocutor of the territorial collectivities and of the public authorities; represent all components of agriculture: farmers, employees, owners, foresters, social and labor organizations; be consulted in all major decisions concerning the agricultural and rural world, local authorities and public authorities; participate in relevant commissions on economic organization, planning, education, research, land development, tourism, rural housing, urban planning and health and social affairs; assist public authorities at the local, departmental, regional and national levels.
