Discription:

The project addresses the political participation of the migrant community living in Galiza from the theoretical perspective of transnationalism, which focuses on analysing the links that are established between the countries of origin and destination of migrants, and specifically study the co-development processes that take place from the root of transnational strategies of migrant associations.

Also we will conduct an analysis of the political participation of migrant women in Galiza, focusing our study on the role women have in migrant associations that promote development projects, in order to unravel the features that convert migrant women in developing agents. To these effects, we will conduct a case study compared the associative bodies of Peruvian women in the cities of Corunha and Burela and Cape Verdean women in Burela.
